A well looked after Coiled Aviator Cable will maintain its brand new, out of the box appearance for a very long time. Here are some tips on how you can care for and maintain your cable:
Handle it gently.
Don't stretch the coils - unnecessary strain on the coils can deform them.
Use compressed air or a soft dry brush to remove dust. Avoid damp or wet cloths.
When connecting or disconnecting your cable, handle the connector instead of the wire (good practice for any cables).
Use your cable in the orientation it's intended for - extended use at angles creating bends in the wire can warp the cable out of its designed shape.
